Sunrise in Alishan

When I think about that sunrise that I woke up to that morning, I just feel like I got close to nowhere as I could get, and found out that it was more of a place than anywhere I’ve been in a long time.

– Hank Green

Waking up in the middle of the night to go see the sun waking up, stretching its limbs of sun rays slowly behind the mountain, painting the landscape with soft warm colours is one my favourite memories from trip to Taiwan.

No matter the people and taking lots of photos it was a moment you feel deep inside your heart and that can never be captured. Nature is truly the greatest artists in the world, painting images like these every single day everywhere on Earth, we just need to wake up early enough to see them. In everyday life this can be quite a challenge, but when you are traveling you have the perfect opportunity to seize these moments and hold them in your heart forever.

Where have you seen your favourite sunrise?

  1. love your sunrise photos. They look professional and flawless. I totally agree that the sunrise moment is magical. I did get to observe sunrise in Taiwan but did that in Myanmar and I have to say it was the most amazing moment I have watched so far. Felt like my breath was taken away. Btw, where was the observation in your photos?

    1. Thank you so much! Sunrise in Myanmar sounds so magical. I can just imagine all the temples in this golden light. We went to Alishan National Recreational Park and there is a observation spot for sunrise. You can buy a ticket for a train that will take you there in time for it.

      1. We went to the recreational park too but were not aware of places to go. What a shame! But the café was lovely and the day after we did hiking around the scenic area which was fantastic!
